6th Grade Homeschool Curriculum
Its a new dawn, its a new day, its a new year….so you know what that means! New Curriculum!! Ive got our new 6th grade homeschool curriculum roundup here for ya!
When we first started homeschooling, we went with fully organized programs from My Fathers World and really loved them. However, in the last few years, as we changed our needs with math, and the prices continued to rise for each grade level for just the extras; we decided to venture to new programs.
After careful consideration and research, we decided on doing a hodge podge of curriculum. No set yearly program. We just pick and choose what we want to learn. I’m so excited for our curriculum this year. We have used these resources the last couple years and have been extremely happy with them, so Im expecting similar experiences this year.
6th Grade Homeschool Curriculum
- Math: Teaching Textbooks Online (CD Version)
- English: Language Lessons for a Living Education
- Science: Apologia Chemistry
- World History: Worlds Story: Ancients
- Bible: More Than Words
- Art: Art Hub on YouTube
The kiddo will also be doing lots of reading. Choices of her own and classics from this list.
We also do a lot of journal writing with prompts such as the ones found here.
Homeschool Planner
I have found the perfect planner with Plum Paper. I get the student planner and customize it with our subject lessons and even have a place for daily menu planning. {It works well because I only have one child, but they have alot of planner options to fit all family needs.}

If you find yourself homeschooling for the first time because of Covid, and you are stressed and have questions….email me. I am here for you! I’ll help you the best that I can. But above all, remember that we have all started at the beginning once too. We ain’t perfect. We got flaws. I lose my patience. I misspeak. Sometimes I forget what 9×8 is. You dont have to be perfect to teach your child. You just need grace!

We are eclectic homeschoolers, as well! I believe strongly in individualized learning, so I’ve always tried to make curriculum choices that meet each child’s needs. I love your quote about not being perfect, just needing grace! That is so true…grace for your kids and yourself!

Yes! Every child is different and no one set thing will work for them all. Plus their needs change as they get older too! Thank you-gotta give ourselves grace! 🙌🏼
