7th Grade Homeschool Curriculum

My baby girl is starting 7th grade and that means time for new homeschool curriculum. This year we are adding in some new online curriculum from Easy Peasy. We recently purchased her a Touchscreen Chromebook (with parental control safeguards) to utilize with her schoolwork.

Curriculum

• Reading: Using Reading 7 via the online FREE Easy Peasy curriculum. This will have her reading small texts daily and discussing the interpertation of said texts.
• Language Arts: Spectrum 7 workbook. Covering parts of speech, vocab acquistion, grammar, and some writing.
• History: Modern History 5th-8th via Easy Peasy curriculum. Discussing American history from post Civil War to current day.
• Government: American Government She will be using this textbook at co-op.
• Math: Teaching Textbooks. This has been our go to math curriculum for the past few years. Cant say enough about how great this program is.
• Science: 7th Grade Physical, Life, Earth, Engineering, and Space.
• Bible: Kingdom Quest by Tom Evans. Daily bible study over virtues.
• Computer: TypeTastic Middle School level. We have used this FREE program before and will mostly be using this to build up her typing speed. Easy Peasy also has an free program that delves into computers more with programming and graphic design!

Along with her daily curriculum, she will be going to co-op and take classes such as government, cooking, dance, farming, recess, and a sewing class.

There are many options out there for curriculum, and no one set or piece is better than another. You have to choose whats best for you and your kiddos. As always, remember that Homeschooling can be hard especially when you are teaching math haha; but also so rewarding. Take your time, dont feel pressured and enjoy this moment with your kids!
