Agatha Christie and Tomb Raider have nothing on me…
Years of puzzles and adventure games have finally paid off! How you ask?
Escape Rooms.
I feel like I have practiced for them all my life by playing adventure video games and reading tons of mystery novels. Some of my favorite video games were based on Agatha Christie books and Tomb Raider. Both have to be some of the best preppers for an escape room featuring tons of searching and puzzle solving.
Escape rooms are super trendy and so much fun. Locked in a themed-room searching for keys and puzzles to solve with a group of friends for a one-hour adventure.

Im fully addicted and cant get enough! Some escape rooms are better than others. You can do the bare minimum rooms, and they tend to be one room with the least amount of decor on the walls. Their puzzles are okay but dont always flow with the storyline.
My favorite rooms are multiple rooms in one storyline. The more immersive the decor the better the experience.
Y’all I’ve done over 20 different rooms all over the OKC area, and I am blown away by the newest escape room venue, Red Door Escape Room.
I feel like they have everything I want in an escape room. More than one room, detailed decor, and puzzles that follow and flow well with the storyline.
I had the privilige of trying out the Penn Square location. So a group of girlfriends and I chose to try out the Confinement episode, with the difficulty level being hard.
I wont ruin the surprise of the room for you by telling you any of the secrets. However, I will tell you that this room was the conception of Red Door. Its a high-pressure, thrill-seeking room, unlike any other Ive done. There may even have been some screaming from us girls. It was so much fun though!
Although we were close and just needed a couple more minutes, we did not escape the room in time!
I cant wait to go back and experience their other rooms.
Red Door makes that easy too by offering a loyalty program. For $5, you can join to receive multiple benefits. From discounts, merchandise, and free games, its definitely worth purchasing!
Right now through March 20th, 2020 at the Penn Square location, you can take advantage of their grand opening promo and try out an escape room for 50% off the normal pricing.
So dont miss out on this opportunity to check out the best escape rooms in OKC. Which room will you try?
