    January Product Roundup

Here is your January product roundup of all my favorite purchases. I actually tried to be really good this month, but as you will soon see, I did not succeed. haha Octocurl While the headband looks as crazy as the name sounds. Octocurl provides soft heatless curls overnight. Just wrap your hair around each strip and wake up to effortless curls. I purchased the Cotton Poplin in the standard size. (This was just my first time using it, and I did run my curling iron through my hair to tame some of the curls that I got from just the Octocurl. Will be trying again with completely dried hair.) Fashion…

SimpleCoat is a non-toxic multi surface treatment that helps seal and protect your housewares and even clothing and accessories. Help revive old and worn surfaces; look brand new all while protecting them from stains, odors, fingerprints, and liquids. I decided to test it out on multiple surfaces from our stainless steel refrigerator to my white soled leather sneakers. To use SimpleCoat, all you need is a small drop of the liquid onto the surface. Using the provider soft cloth, wipe it in and then wipe of any excess. As the name suggests, its very simple. To protect the stainless steel fridge, I first used cleaned it with warm water and…

    Cloffice Renovation Project

My cloffice is my dreams come true! My wonderful hubby willingly let me turn a spare bedroom into a closet + office combo; making me one very happy wife! As Carrie Bradshaw said; “I like my money where I can see it; hanging in my closet.” Such wise words from the Fashion Queen. The Mr was being driving crazy by the overpacked closet and that is when we decided that the spare room would be put to better use as my cloffice. The many paint layers needed to be stripped from the walls in the room. It also required new bed/taping. So what started as a quick project, quickly became…

    Gluten Free Christmas Tree Cakes

Is it even Christmas if you aren’t eating a Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes? For our family, that would be a hard no, except this year we all went gluten free. This definitely put a damper on my Holiday Spirit! I decided that making gluten free Chrismas tree cakes would be my next project to tackle. I scoured the web for an easy and delicious white cake recipe and stumbled upon this one from Sugar Spun Run. To begin, with any cake recipe that you convert to gluten free; texture changes. Consitstency is different. I followed her recipe with my only changes being the flour. My cake batter was very…

Camping In The Fall In Rogers, AR

Nothing brings me greater joy then camping in the fall. Campfires, hammocks, brisk air, smores, and hiking. These are a few of my favorite things. For our most recent camping trip, we decided to visit somewhere new. So using the Recreation.gov site we landed on Prairie Creek at Beaver Lake in Rogers, AR. Recreation.gov is a great resource if you are a disabled veteran. You can apply for an access pass and stay at any of the locations for half price! While the main activities to participate in here involves the lake, there is a 1 mile hiking trail. The trail is a strenuous uphill hike but very beautiful and…

How Botox Can Tame A Gummy Smile

I have always been told that I have a great smile; however I have always been self concious of my smile. A gummy smile is a smile that shows more than just teeth and extends up into the gum line. So I looked for a way to tame a gummy smile and found out that injecting Botox could be beneficial. After talking to a friend and researching my options, I decided to go in and see what my options would be. My friend recommended Skinlab Injections Lab; and told me to see Stephanie. Stephanie was amazing and helped ease my fears and told me that she thought that Dysport would…
