Baked bierocks
Growing up my mom would make us these baked bierocks, and I never appreciated them because they had cabbage in them and I detested veggies!
However, as an adult and yes its only been recently, I decided to expand my taste buds and eat like a grown up. I LOVED it! Who knew?!
Bierocks are traditonally made by frying them. Since I wanted a lazy option of cooking, and to be healthy, I decided to bake them, as my had always done.
This is a quick under 30 minute meal that your family is sure to love! Don’t like cabbage? Just do I as I did as a kid and make Cheeseburger Rolls! Same setup as this recipe but minus the cabbage, and add some shredded cheese. Delish!
Making Baked Bierocks
Start by browning your hamburger meat in a pan with a little bit of oil. Add in minced garlic, 1/2 C of chopped onion, and salt & pepper to taste.
Now add in 2 1/2 C of shredded cabbage. Let cook down for approximately 5 minutes.
Using homeade bisquits if you are feeling fancy, or the lazy cook option would be to grab a can of Grand Bisquits and pop ’em open. Using a rolling pin, flatten and spread the bisquit open.
Next, place about 2 Tbsp of the beef mix onto the center of the bisquit. Closing the bisquit up and around the mixture. Place seam side down on a cooking sheet.
Bake in oven at 400F for 12-15 minutes. Bisquits will be cooked through and browned.
We serve ours up with a mix of ketchup and mustard. However you may like hot sauce, or maybe a cheese sauce?!
Add a side salad or serve with your favorite veggies to have a complete balanced meal. {We tend to just eat these though-HAHA}

Need some amazing baking mats? These have been life changing for me. They help create a nice golden bottom to my bisquits and cookies! I love the silicone rolling pins when Im working with the bisquits.
