    Jewelry That Makes A Difference

Ok ladies–I want to tell you about these adorable gold leaf earrings I bought.   These earrings are not only beautiful and high quality–but they are handmade by “atrisans from some of the world’s most vulnerable communities; empowering them to grow sustainably and to create dignified jobs for people who need them”. This company’s {Noonday} goal is to make a difference in the lives of others while creating a fair trade network for the artisans and helping them to build their business.  They have lots of beautiful jewelry available.   The name Noonday Collection comes from Isaiah 58:10: “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of…

    The Jones Assembly

Date Night in OKC…..sometimes it is hard to know where to go or what to do when you get to go out for a date night with the significant other.   We tend to do alot of movies and dinner, but this time we wanted something different.   We decided to go check out The Jones Assembly on the Historic Film Row downtown OKC.   Ya’ll we spent 4 HOURS there!  We took our time and went to all the different areas and just slowly enjoyed our evening. We got there at 4pm, and since the dining room wasnt open until 5pm we went and set out on downstairs patio.  From 4-5 we sat out…

    OKCs Immersive Art Experience

There are not enough words to describe OKC’s newest adventure.   Think Willy Wonka, Science Museum, and giant jungle gym all rolled into one experience.   This is Factory Obscura’s Mix Tape.   From the moment you walk up to the door, you are greeted with interactive art outside featuring a giant boombox.  Press the button…dance….and repeat! Every aspect of the inside is utilized with immersive art, all 6000 square feet of it!   Entry is gonna cost ya: $15/adult $12/kids 4-12, and free for kids 3 and under.   This was a little pricier than I would like seeing as we were only there for about an hour.  However, the experience is meant to be slow…

    Musical Swings Art

Musical Chairs are so last year!    We had the privilige of visiting the art installation, Musical Swings, thats in OKC for a couple of weeks.  It was such a great experience! The Swings were created by Dalytous les jours, a Montreal-based insteraction design studio.  They are an exercise in musical cooperation.  The swings first premiered in 2014 in Green Mountain Falls, CO and has since traveled aroudn the US.   Each swing is a different note, and represents one of 4 instruments: piano, harp, guitar, and a vibraphone.  Individually, each swing sounds great.  However, when you swing in time with other swings, you produce different notes creating even more beautiful…
