Clark Crew BBQ
National Championship BBQ, up-scale atmoshphere, friendly staff, and amazing chef. Thats what you will find at OKC’s newest BBQ joint, Clark Crew BBQ. {Located off I-44 and NW Expressway.}
Chef Travis is one friendly guy with amazing smoking skills. This man has won 7 Jack Daniels World Championships with 5 in a row! He even has his own exclusive Single Barrel Jack Daniels Whiskey. Â
I love the way he came up with his name. They were travelling up to Kansas City for a charity race for family and they stumbled upon a BBQ competition. They went to explore and taste and Travis decided that he wanted to learn and conquer. {And conquer he did!} When coming up with the name; Travis said he was always asked if it would be just him or his whole crew, and it just took off from there. The Clark Crew was coming to throw down and you better not be in their way. Â
The restaurant opened December 9, and its been packed everyday since then. There is no question as to why either, the food is down right delicious.  Before you even exit your car you can smell the smoke and you know that you are in for quite the treat!  So if you go in the evening especially, plan on a wait. Â
Travis has big plans for utilizing his space with classes on smoking meats on your everday smoker and making amazing steaks {these are coming soon}. A banquet room is available for private rental with a $100 deposit that is then put toward your bill, letting you use the space for free! There is an outside patio that features beautiful lighted seating with cornhole and even a little putt-putt. Â
The menu offers a lot of great options from BBQ to Pizza with burgers and salad in between! Travis wanted to be sure to offer a little bit of everything because he knows how much kids try to veto dinning suggestions sometimes! HA I love that he totally gets the family dynamic when it comes to choosing where to eat!
We started our evening off with the House Fried Crispy Pork Rinds and the Deviled Eggs.Â
The pork rinds came out still crackling and were sprinkled with their signature rub that added just a nice bit of flavor that really gave the rinds their wow factor and the deviled eggs were delicious. I may have to start adding bacon to all of mine! Genius!Â
For the main entree we all got something different so we could try it all. Â
We ordered the brisket nachos, burnt ends, ribs, chopped pork, smoked turkey, kids brisket, kids pepperoni pizza, kids cheeseburger, mac n cheese, baked bbq beans, potato salad, house chips, french fries, and okra. Â
Yall the food was delicious. Our favorites were the burnt ends, ribs, chopped pork, and brisket nachos. The pizza was a hit as were the fries and the house chips. Definitely wanting to go back and try the Mac Daddy Cheeseburger ASAP and their fried cheese curds! Â
If the food, service, and atmosphere isnt enough to get you in there then know that Travis is a huge supporter of our veterans and offers a 15% discount! Always appreciate when places take a cut to offer our veterans support and appreciation for all that they have sacrificed. Oorah!!
What are you most looking forward to trying? Â
