Nestled on a side street in the Stockyard District of OKC is the most gorgeous saloon I’ve ever seen. McClintock Saloon & Chop House
Walking in I was floored by all the beautiful woodwork and the chandeliers. It was so glitzy, warm and inviting. They have a lovely dining room area full of comfy booth seating on one side of the restaurant and over in the main room there is a giant 50 foot Red Oak bar with seating at the bar and also seating at their tables. The attire that the waiters are wearing is so fun and so classic for the environment; I just love it! The environment alone makes me want to go back, but the food knocks it out of the park, sealing the deal on my returning!
I always love to try a signature drink when I go somewhere new, so I of course had to try their cathouse punch. This drink was only $4 so I wasnt expecting much. However, it was worth every penny! I sipped on that drink all evening and didnt require anything else. Best drink ever! Best $4 I ever spent!Â
We perused the menu and agonized over what we should get, before we finally decided that we had to just order what we first were intrigued by and made promises to come back soon to try the other options. So I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side of macaroni and cheese; while the hubby ordered steak and fries. Â
While we were waiting on our food, they brought out a buffet for those who were purchasing drinks during happy hour. They had calamari, wings, cheeseburger sliders, and fried chicken. They are offering this on Wednesdays and Thursdays during Happy hour from 430-630 pm. Its free as long as you are ordering drinks! Such a great promo that they offer! Â

We tried the calamari, wings, and sliders. It was all excellent! We were impressed by how well it tasted especially being a buffet. This was the first time I had ever tried calamari and I actually liked it! Â
Our dinner was brought out and I was shocked by how much food was on my plate. My chicken fried steak was bigger than my head. I immediately dug into it and my mashed potatoes and the flavor and crispness was wonderful. I was very pleased! My mac n cheese was extremely delicious as well. Â
The hubby’s steak was mouthwatering. I was extremely impressed especially because he ordered medium well, and I like my steaks medium rare. But yall, this steak had so much flavor, juiciness, and the seasoning was just a huge win, that I didnt even notice that it wasnt the cook that I would have ordred. Â
We both devoured as much of the food as we could, taking home the leftovers to feast on for days! Haha
But seriously, you could totally split the chicken fried steak with someone, there is just so much!Â
The food, the drinks, the decor, this place is definitely a win and we will be back soon! Im dying to get back in and try the monte cristo! Â
I highly recommend taking a step into this glamourous saloon and feasting on some amazing dishes!Â
