OKC Blue Zoo Is The Newest Kid Friendly Attraction
OKC Blue Zoo opened this month in the Quail Springs Mall on the lower southeast level near Von Maur. With 2 levels to explore, you are sure to find something that interests everyone in your group.
From fish, jellyfish (coming soon), and sharks to lizards, snakes and birds they’ve got it covered. Want to feed a stingray? They’ve got it. Ever wondered what a starfish feels like? You can hold one here!
My favorite interaction was with the tiny fish that eat the dead skin off of you. {Like what they use in pedicures} I also always love petting the stingrays! Such a neat experience.
As a homeschooling family, we are always looking for ways to engage educationaly at places like this. The Blue Zoo has placards up at each display with great information about what you are looking at. There is also a couple of fun hands on learning activities that teach things like wave intensity.
The lower level is full of underwater sea creatures, and the upper level is where you will find reptiles and their parakeets that you can hand feed. The upstairs area is also where you will find a rock-climbing wall, water tables, and some small playground equipment. (This is also where you will find the tiny pedicure fishies)
Some exhibits are ‘Coming Soon’ due to covid-19. The Jellyfish are one of those as well as a VR expeirence! Speaking of Covid, they are doing a great job in keeping the public safe with social-distance markers, hand sanitizer locations, employees masked, and sanitizing displays. Check their IG feed for more info!

For daily visits prices start at just $13/kid and $16/adult. Have a group of 12 or more and its only $10/person. Military is $14 with ID.
