Period Party?

Period Prep box for preteen

So no, I wont be giving my daughter a period party to celebrate her transition from little girl into a young woman. However I did want to do something special to help make the transition smoother for her. Enter the Preteen Period Prep!

I put together this Period Survival Package for my daughter so that when the time comes we will be prepared and she will be ready to face this day without fear. I wanted her to have everything handy in case I’m not with her when she starts and this way she will know what to do and what to use.

I first went to Hobby Lobby and picked out a special keepsake box to put everything in. I wanted something that would be magical and special. I found the perfect box. I thought the unicorn on this box helped symbolize the special and magical time in her life.

 Inside the box:

  • Thinx BTWN Teen Period Panties, 2 pairs
  • Moody Girl Roll-On oil (link below)
  • Republic of Tea Banana Chocolate flavor (link below)
  • A leopard heating pad – Purchased years ago at Wal-Mart
  • Playtex Teen Pads – I purchased at Wal-Mart
  • Small glitter zippered pouch – One of my Ipsy bags
  • Fun furry letter keychain -from Hobby Lobby
  • 3 Notebooks decorated with Dogs – from Hobby Lobby

The period panties will be perfect to keep any unwanted embarrasing overbleeding from happening.

The moody girl oil, im thinking we might need to buy cases of! Haha!  Im hoping it wil be beneficial with cramps but also the mood!

The tea will be beneficial in helping with the cramping and its chocolate so thats a win! She loves this tea and so I knew it would be the perfect one for her survival kit.

A heating pad, for extra comfort with the cramping.

Pads…well obvious.

Ipsy bag to carry change of panties, pads, and Ibuprofen in for her purse.

The other two things were just for fun to celebrate her.

My hope is that with this survival kit she will be better prepared when the day comes and that even if I am not with her she will know what to do.

What did you do to help your daughter be prepared?  Is there anything else you would suggest be added to a preteen period prep survival kit?
