    Hysterectomy Post-Op Update

    Hello Friends!   I wanted to give you a more thourough update on my hysterectomy recovery since my last update.   Day 4 Started pushing medication dosing times further apart.  Went 15 hours in between Percocet and 10 hours between Toradol.  Alot more alert today and moving around more.  However, ovaries must be waking up because Im having alot of emotional outbursts.    Random spirts of crying over nothing.  haha Walked by and saw my family and stared crying.  Its great fun! ha The doctor gave me a prescription for Progesterone but I didnt want to take any hormones so that I could just push through this part and get regulated again.  …

    Hysterectomy Recovery

    SURGERY IS COMPLETE!  My uterus, cervix, and tubes are GONE!  Hallelujah! Day of surgery: I was doing pretty good in the pre-op room with my husband and momma.  They did a great job of keeping me distracted from getting nervous and focusing on just how thirsty I was.  When it was time to be wheeled back into ther operating room I was getting anxious.  I got on the table and I remember I started to tear up from my nerves and they gave me some medicine and then I was just out.  It is always so crazy how quick that anesthesia kicks in!     Take My Uterus…PLEASE!

    This post is going to be a little different than any other post I have done so far.  This post is going to be very personal.   Okay….here we go…. I have sufferred for YEARS with painful, brutal periods.  Im talking doubled over cramping, and super heavy bleeding.  Not just normal bleeding, but big clotted bleeding.  “Don’t leave the house if you dont have to” horrible! We have struggled with fertility, {Its by God’s grace that we have our Bug} we have struggled with pain, and I have lost many articles of clothing to my horrible periods.  Planning life around this time each month is a pain too, its not ever…
