The Big Texan
So we went to Palo Duro Canyon for our last camping trip of the season, so of course we had to make a trip to The Big Texan for dinner! This is one of our favorite traditions when we pass through Amarillo, TX. Such a beautiful place, especially during the Holiday Season! Its all lit up with Christmas lights and decor everywhere. Even the giant steer skull gets in on the action! The atmosphere is big, welcoming, and very rustic. Palo Duro Canyon
The “Little Grand Canyon of Texas“! This is such a special place for my little family. We have been almost every year for the last 5 years. Its such a wonderful place to visit for the day, but even better if you can stay for the week. So much hiking available! Palo is located in the Texas panhandle; 14 miles from Canyon, TX and 25 miles South of Amarillo, TX.
